It’s rare for Josh Smith to go a whole game without a single catch, but that’s just what happened last week. Josh Dobbs targeted him once on a deep throw down the middle that was initially ruled a catch, but the officials reviewed the play and ruled it wasn’t a catch.
And that Smith’s only target of the night.
Like Kamara, this wasn’t necessarily Smith’s fault. The coaches targeted Josh Malone, Preston Williams, Ethan Wolf, and the running backs far more than Smith. He and Dobbs have good chemistry in practice, and now it’s time to show it on the field.
