Friday Top 10: Vols Who Need Better 2nd Game

Coleman Thomas-1

2. Coleman Thomas

Last season, Coleman Thomas came into his own at center for the Vols. He looked much more comfortable at center than he ever did at tackle as a freshman, and he was able to make several good plays last year, pulling blocks and shoring up the middle of the offensive line.

But you wouldn’t know that from his performance in Tennessee’s 2016 opener.

Coleman Thomas had the worst performance in what was a night to forget for Tennessee’s offensive linemen last Thursday. He missed multiple blocks, whiffed on assignments, and was even just pushed back on his back by a player that weighed at least 60 pounds less than him.

Thomas had an embarrassing performance in Tennessee’s first game of the season. He more than any player needs to show improvement at The Battle at Bristol.
